VALUE ADDED FEATURES

With a background in publishing Expo Exhibitions is keenly aware that quality content is key to success. We work hard to deliver the right combination of specialist exhibitors and relevant features to attract and satisfy the right target market. We are working closely with key industry bodies, including the CEF and RSUA to ensure that our offering meets current market needs. The following offer a flavour of what you can anticipate at Construct 2006, incorporating Plan Expo at the Kings Hall.

  PRODUCT OF THE SHOW AWARDS

A brand new feature for 2006. The Product of the Show Awards promise to be a central feature of the New Look Construct. Entries are confined to exhibitors and offer an ideal opportunity to showcase new products and innovations. A panel of industry experts will select the most innovative products exhibited for the first time at Construct and the winning products will be displayed prominently throughout the show.

These awards (and the short-listed products) attract a great deal of attention and interest. It's an excellent opportunity for exhibitors to piggyback on the extensive PR and promotion that goes on behind the scenes before, during and after every show. Contact us to find out more about how participation in this key feature can work for you.

  SEMINARS & WORKSHOPS

We are currently working on a full programme of seminars and workshops that will cover the hot topics of the day. We anticipate that these will be well attended - our highly relevant seminar programmes at other Expo Exhibitions events are one of the reasons why so many influential people attend our Trade Events. The 2006 Construct seminar programme will be designed to be relevant and informative to the Construction Industry in Northern Ireland. There will be two seminar programmes, one with topics catering to specifiers and another with topics catering to contractors and sub-contractors.

Full seminar programme coming shortly - watch this space.

OFFSITE CONSTRUCTION ZONE

Construct 2006, will be the only trade event in Northern Ireland to offer a dedicated Offsite Construction Area. Following numerous queries from visitors – your potential clients - regarding offsite solutions we are investing in a dedicated Off-site Area at Construct 2006. Off-site construction is already dynamic market sector is estimated to grow at 10-11% p.a. between now and 2007. High profile challenges such as the Design for Manufacture Competition, run on behalf of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister are driving further interest in offsite construction.

With the Construction Industry experiencing strong growth across all sectors from homebuilding to large scale construction, architects and contractors are looking for innovative products and suppliers to match their needs. The Offsite Construct Zone, with its front-of-hall location, is ideally positioned to showcase your products to the people that you want to meet. SKILLBUILD

Once again in 2005, the extremely popular Skillbuild returns to Construct. Founded in 1981, Skillbuild is hailed as "the construction oscars" and the Northern Ireland regional final is an integral part of the Construct exhibition. Supported by the CITB, Skillbuild is a high profile competition that promotes quality in construction.

  CATERPILLAR OPERATORS CONTEST

An exciting new feature at next year’s show is the first-ever Caterpillar Operator Challenge, sponsored by the CAT Rental Store. Caterpillar’s European Operator Challenge has been devised to find the safest and most skilful machine operators and the competition at Construct will look for Northern Ireland’s leading operator. The challenge will be based on a variety of machines from a variety of sectors, allowing operators across industry sectors to compete with each other. Operators will complete a series of challenges to test their control and manipulation of each machine with independent adjudicators judging performances.
